WHAT IS FREEZE BRANDING?  The process is quick, permanent and affordable.  A cold iron (cooled with liquid nitrogen) is used to kill the cells that produce color pigment. The result of the brand will be white hair growth where the iron was placed. Lighter colored horses (palominos and greys) can also be freeze branded by placing the iron on the horse for longer amounts of time.
